Thank you for choosing Oral Surgery Associates. We pride ourselves in providing exceptional care to our patients by adhering to the highest surgical standards. We are one of a very few oral surgery practices with RNs on staff. Registered nurses (RNs) monitor our patients throughout and after procedures to ensure our patients safety. Our oral surgeons and nurses spend time with each patient to ensure all questions are answered, patients are comfortable and we stay with our patients through recovery. We are always available to answer any questions that the patient or family member may have.
Patient Safety is Our First Priority.
Your initial appointment will consist of a consultation explaining your diagnosis and treatment options. Please assist us by providing the following information at the time of your consultation:
IMPORTANT: All patients under 18 years of age in Iowa and 19 years of age in Nebraska must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at the consultation visit.
A pre-operative consultation and physical examination is mandatory for patients undergoing IV anesthesia for surgery. Please have nothing to eat or drink 8 hours prior to your surgery. You will also need an adult to drive you home.
Please alert the office if you have a medical condition that may be of concern prior to surgery (i.e. diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves and joints, rheumatic fever, etc.) or if you are currently taking any medication (i.e. heart medications, aspirin, anticoagulant therapy, etc.).
Oral Surgery Associates believes that health care is a cooperative effort between you as the patient, your surgeon and our staff. For information on Patients Rights and Responsibilites please follow the link.
If your dentist or physician has taken x-rays, please request that they forward them to our office. If there is not enough time, please pick them up and bring them with you to our office. If additional films are necessary, they can be taken at our facility.
